A Letter to my dear son.
My child, I do not think I have much longer before the infection frees me, so let this be my final words to you. In my years of rule I've wielded wealth and power unlike any man since Year 0, yet here I am rotting, dying like any commoner would. I've built castles, conquered lands and killed many and like all dying men, feel the regret of my actions.
Still, I repent for my sins, but I do not take back my actions, for I will be remembered as one who spilt blood, and I am content that I did so in the name of justice. My son we are burdened with power and privilege, a curse handed down from our ancestors, a kingdom born of blood and conquest.
We cannot undo our ancestors bloody conquests but we can do the kingdom justice. Let them live long fulfilling lives, let the economy be booming, the farms lushing and the nights free of monsters. In pursuit of that justice, I put criminals to the end of my blade and conquered foreign lands, becoming no different from the forefathers I once despised, bathing the world in blood in pursuit of my own vision.
The two of us may not see eye to eye on the monsters of the night, it is ironic that the creatures I've belittled have become my end, though I die stubbornly upon this path. My son whether you choose my path, or the path of our ancestors remember two things. The first God's justice is inevitable and the second is that I love you,
Sincerely Agard V of Draga.

King Agard V's illness worsened, and he sucumbed to the zombie plague the next day. A month later his son inherited the crown and became the current ruler of the Draga kingdom.
