Lore
The card represents the protagonist Alfra from "The Legend of the Woods", a famous legend originating from around 900 AF. The story begins when Alfra discovers that her young son is a werewolf and twists her soul into that of a witch to protect him. The two must then navigate the village's cruel monster-hunting system, systematically dismantling it, outsmarting and eventually slaying anyone who gets too close. The story ends with Alfra peacefully raising her son in an empty village, finally accepted by its now-zombified inhabitants.

It is clear that whoever wrote the story held a personal vendetta against their society, as the reader is encouraged to side with the two bloodthirsty monsters rather than the innocent villagers who are killed in cruel and unusual ways. Three main theories attempt to explain this. The first is that Alfra is a self-insert of a mother whose child was killed on suspicion of being a monster, making the story a revenge fantasy against those responsible. The second is that it was written in response to the western expansion of the Draga Empire, with the village's obsessive and cruel monster-hunting culture serving as a metaphor for Draga's unwelcome presence. Most concerningly, the third theory proposes that the story itself may have been written by a monster in an attempt to gain human sympathy and discourage its own persecution.
